What loading images in an email reveals
What loading images shows a sender
Images in emails load automatically from the sender’s servers. When they load, the sender can see when you opened the email and your IP address, which can show roughly where you are. We don’t load images that look like tracking images.
Being asked first
To decide for each email instead, choose Ask before loading images in Settings, under Images. Emails then open without their images until you choose Load remote images.
